Father's Day

It's Father's Day here on Sunday.  Lucky Dan gets celebrated twice this year.  At school Maddie had to bring a small gift and $3.  The gifts went into the pool and then she was able to purchase a gift for her own father.  She came out of school thrilled with her choice...a bag of gags.  Our favorite is the fart bag.  (whoopee cushion). But we also love the water squirting ring, fake gum, etc.  I can't stop laughing.

Australia, the first week...

What a week!  We survived eighteen hours of flyng with three little kiddos to arrive in our new hme in Australia.  We have three months in our cute and quaint little Queenslander style home before we have to find something more permanent. We are also car shopping, a daunting task as everything seems backwards here!  We have met many wonderful people here and have warmly welcomed.  Also just saw our first big snake yesterday...that just gives me the creeps! Maddie starts school on Monday, first time in the uniform.  That will help us get into a routine.  Fiona has started walking just this week so she's toddling everywhere like a little drunk. (they call that a pisshead here I believe).
All in all, we have had our crazy moments of insanity, but feel very fortunate to be where we are. More to come!
